We recently visited our client in Upminster, Essex where we designed and supplied the kitchen and utility room. Working closely with them we designed a large island with a breakfast bar. This is a great way of opening up the room while providing a large worktop area and huge amounts of storage beneath.
The layout of your kitchen furniture is the most important factor to consider when designing a functional space. The layout will factor light, space and use. By dealing with all three requirements you will reduce the walking distance when cooking, allowing the space to work in harmony with natural light and creating an appealing design.
Low level units in the island allow natural light from the bi-fold doors to flood the room. The hob, sink and fridge layout keep the main cooking area within close proximity. The more occasional storage items are within the shallow cupboards tucked away under the breakfast bar.
We have since had a referral from this project for a client requiring a bespoke kitchen in North London and are excited to work on the new scheme.
