BANG ON TREND and packs a punch! This super stylish modern shaker kitchen works perfectly in our clients newly renovated Grade II listed cottage in Lodsworth, West Sussex. The owners have put a great deal of love and care into renovating their home and in doing so they have created a beautiful fusion between modern and traditional.

Our clients had a really clear vision of what they wanted to achieve.
• No wall cupboards
• A large island positioned with seating to look out over the garden
• Area dedicated for hosting parties
• Ample storage
• Wow factor with bold colour
Originally the clients wanted the island orientated lengthways opposite the range. However to allow for movement around the island, the size had to be reduced. In spinning this around we have gained both space and views overlooking the garden. We have also maximised seating around the island by designing a canter levered worktop.

Increasing storage whilst having no wall units was a challenge. We added as many cupboards as possible but to retain interest and function they are varying in style. The bi-fold storage unit houses serving dishes and large platters, while the double cupboards either side of the wine fridge are for dinnerware. In the main cooking area we have utilised the corners with pull out larders for food and the two standard cupboards are available for pans and trays.

The units are painted in Farrow & Ball no.31 Railings which provide a stark contrast to the white walls and brass hardware. With oak plank flooring and a neutral quartz worktop the cabinets really will be the star of the show!
